Sonya and I met online in October of 2013. Both of us had planned on deleting our accounts when we stumbled upon each other. She said she was interested and I couldn’t help but think she was absolutely gorgeous so she sparked my interest and had my attention. On October 6, 2013 I sent her a message. I had no idea what to say because I thought there was no way she would want to talk to me. I kept it as simple as I possibly could and just said “Hey :).” Three weeks later we had our first date. I took her to my favorite beach, and with the sunset painted in the background, we shared our first kiss. I didn’t realize it just yet, but, in that moment I had found the girl I needed to share the rest of my life with.
Sonya and I have been together for almost three years and living together for almost two years. We have an 11 year old cat named Mufasa that Sonya had before we got together. We also have a one year old Australian Shepherd named Loki. Our fur babies keep us on our toes. Sonya has a way of keeping me on my toes as well. She is constantly getting me out of my comfort zone and making me try new things. I’m the one who keeps her grounded and level headed when life gets hectic. I’m her anchor and she’s my sail. Our opposites work perfectly together.
Sonya is without a doubt the love of my life and her hand is the hand I want to hold in mine until the end. We both want more than a memory and more that just saying “I do.” We want to have children together. Since as far back as I can remember I have always wanted a family of my own. Sonya is the one I want to start a family with. We both look forward to the day where we can sit and watch our little one tear through the house as they grow into their own giant ball of personality. Life doesn’t get much better than coming home to your wife and kids. Sonya and I continue to learn about each other as the days and months go by and we both look forward to what this crazy life has in store for us.
